     @lain@lain.com i'm really interested in innovations where it's like "one guy did this in the 1800s and now every _ uses this technique", that's like true invention right there
     or when the market innovation just becomes a standard expectation, i think that's when you truly win at product, even if the market doesn't always reward you in that case

     @lain you will find that internal bank transfers are significantly faster than regular checks. my landlord probably doesn't know why my check clears faster than anyone else's (i have a bank account at the same branch as her). internal transfers are significantly cheaper, and that's just how every payment network works. this is why discover is the card issuer, payment processor, and underlying bank. but once you go outside your bank, you come to the realization that traditional banking is just a conga line where your payment goes from handshake to handshake very slowly up the line.
     
     also 5 days is nothing, i once had to wait 2 weeks for a 15 aud transfer to go from wise to revolut lmao
