New AI tools aim to help with grading and lesson plans—but they may have serious drawbacks.
@arstechnica Of all the ways to use ai, I think this is one that, in my heart, I care about the least. Teachers have enough going on and marking is largely a waste of time.

AI: "Hey, I've wrote that one! And that one too!"
But seriously, even if it's more than several not related incidents this just shows that we need to think what and how we want to teach our kids. Students feel that most of their papers are useless and not really important, so they pass them to AI. Now it seems that at least some teachers feel the same.
I would encourage any parent who finds out their kid's teacher is doing this to raise holy hell with the principal and school board.
If the teacher can't bother to grade it, why should anyone accept the grade?
