With the A311D my Reform was already my daily driver for about 80% of tasks, but it will likely become my main machine with this upgrade! Thanks for all of your developments 👍

@aparrish it's definitely a goal for me, but depends on when MIPI-DSI display drivers will be ready, because we need that to drive the display in the Pocket. i think it will be workable later this year.

@mntmn would it be possible to speculate about when we'd be able to get a pocket reform with this module? i love the pocket form factor but with this module it suddenly goes from "fun curiosity" to "potential daily driver"

@csprng yes, we have considered this and have explored a bunch of (pre-)concepts. i'm not sure if and how we can compete, pricing-wise, with cheap SBCs+enclosures. do you have thoughts about this?

@mntmn Have you considered offering a mini desktop enclosure for the Pocket Reform motherboard? It could support an optional battery to provide a built-in UPS. With the RK3588, you'd have a super compact desktop with good performance and resilience against power outages.

@mntmn @csprng I really like the idea of UPS like function. Instead using cheap component with lower price, I would rather see this be build with quality components even though the price would be higher. Most people who like the concept of MNT product is its repair ability and longevity and quality components would really boost the longevity of a product.
