I hate the way this makes me sound but I tried eating as few carbs as humanly possible for a week. Today I had some pasta and it made me feel like the stupidest motherfucker alive, like it literally disabled my brain. I'm a bit baffled, I don't think I'm imagining it because I expected nothing. I didn't feel anything during the week

@sampo i'm a month on keto again and this can happen, the supposed mechanism is that your body tries to switch back to mostly carb burning but it doesn't actually have enough, so you get cold and stupid for a day or two. if you want to waste some money, get a libre freestyle and monitor your glucose for 2 weeks.

@sampo I’ve done it for a few months before, absolutely best I felt in my life, but of course it can get annoying.

@lain if I decide to do this for real I might do that. I haven't decided how serious I am yet, not really sure what the benefit would be. I just thought it'd be fun to try

@sampo I did at the time (and will do again soon, just doing 10k steps of walking each day now), there was no difference in exercise I could detect when I did it the first time, at least not after the first week or so.

@lain do you exercise? I'm a bit worried about how it might affect that
