     so apparently the PNG clipboard format registered by paint dot net changes the format registered on every version, for... reasons.

     so every time I install a paint dot net upgrade, it breaks pastejpeg

     the most annoying thing about working on software that interacts with the clipboard is that every time I run the program I have to make sure to re-copy the image from the image editor, since every time I change the code I end up copying some text, which of course my program can't turn into a JPEG

     I've also realized I have a habit of deleting lines of code by doing shift-delete, instead of just delete.

     The result is the same, the line goes away, but the shift means it ends up on the clipboard, removing my image. Whoops.

     okay I wrote some code to convert a BITMAPV5 in RAM to a PNG.

     The colors are wrong in that characteristic BGR-RGB fuckup, and it's upside down.

     God damn it windows, storing bitmaps upside down is such a 1985-ass design

     I am currently hardcoding BGRA.
     The right thing to do would be to parse the pixel masks from the header, and figure out the layout from that.

     I'm not doing that, but I'm saying this so that when I update something and it breaks and I post a wrong-colored image, I can refer back to this post and laugh at my past self

     Reminds me of trying to draw a house in computer graphics, and it kept coming out backward and upside down.
