   played dark souls for the first time

   in retrospect nobeta is much easier in comparison, even the regular enemies were a pain in the ass. and thanks to nobeta too i died multiple times mainly cuz i didnt get the hang of the controls yet (←not an excuse) and i tried to sprint by holding shift instead

   i dont think i was meant to fight the pair of spooky scary skeletons near the first bonfire? i died so many times because of them

   the big “Taurus Demon” dude fell from the bridge like a fuckin retard. just when i was starting to learn when to dodge too lmao

     i didnt know how to damage the armored boar or whatever that was (maybe i should’ve attacked it from above?) but i managed to kill it anyway somehow by accidentally redirecting its attack towards the fire there

     @lapin My biggest suggestion: Make sure you don't equip too heavy armor that you slow roll, and get used to rolling to dodge attacks. You can dodge through them due to the invincibility frames. My first playthrough I got stuck relying on the shield way too much

     @M_39 @lapin tbf, this isn't an issue since you can only roll in a box in 4 directions
     However 2 and 3 is where they 360° rolls were introduced and it's little more unplayable

     @lapin @Arkana you can alternatively go fat boy with a shield or poke boi with shield if you don't want to rely on rolling.
     
     Tank and stand your ground is at its strongest in DS1. It gets harder and weaker in later titles. Parry Chad is also another alternative.
