   8GB RAM in 2024? Come on, Apple. At least give 16GB with 512 SSD. I think getting upgradeable RAM and SSD is more wise for power users or developers. Plenty of options like Dell or Framework laptops allow upgrading ram and ssd later. Just saying…

     @nixCraft I think MacBooks by default (base models)

     Should have 16gb of RAM and 512gb storage.

     It's just the new base. Everything is getting more resource heavy, and Apple needs to change this.

     @nixCraft Good luck upgrading the RAM on a Dell XPS 13. Those laptops also start with 8 GB of RAM.
