   If there are "AI"-generated images designed to mislead people about the upcoming election, then posting them all over social media as examples of how awful the other guys are is actually doing their work for them.

   At the very least mark the images as sensitive.

     @tess Also saw someone suggesting putting a big red ❌ covering the image while sharing it which seems like a good idea.

     @aral literally you can mark an image as sensitive; it will not display by default and people will need to click through.

     It's automatically marked if there is a CW, IIRC.

     Mastodon already has something for this.

     (Or you could just not share the image and spread the nonsense.)
