     has the time come yet when we can collectively agree to call full shenanigans on the current medicinal "pain killers"? have they ever once killed any pain?
     
     after the first serious car crash i was in i discovered it's all nonsense. [rn i'm not talking about the crash or the arsehole who couldn't keep his attention on the road or listing the injuries, but i'm extraordinarily lucky to still be here]. after a day-long surgery to save a leg, i could click my own intravenous pain meds. rather than being awesome - or at least helpful - it caused a devastating realisation. if i took the absolute maximum dose, i could get high enough not to care that i was in pain,
     
     but it didn't touch the actual pain.
