   "Trolling" is not when someone disagrees with you politically. The elements of trolling are threefold:

   1. Inflammatory
   2. Dishonesty
   3. For shits and giggles

   Just because your ass is inflamed doesn't mean you got trolled.

     @aral Fair. But me, I like engaging! My parents are liberals. I used to be a liberal. It's frustrating to me that no amount of politesse seems sufficient to overcome the mental block.

     @aral @SallyStrange I just had one block me bc she smugly replied "citation needed" & told me that my posts about Gaza were "overly simplifying a complex situation" & I provided her with some citations & told her to block me if her reaction was to continue to patronize me. I think I'd have preferred to have blocked her/been blocked at the outset bc she wasn't interested in anything but being a jerk

     @inquiline @aral @SallyStrange To preserve myself, i ask them a yes/no question: "Is Israel an apartheid state?"

     All words clearly well defined, no excuse to an open ended answer.

     So far they try to argue without a clear answer. I then say "it's a yes-or-no answer".

     I then disengage. Someone who complicates an apartheid is not someone I want around.

     No one ever said "no", but if they do, my idea is to say "we can disagree on opinions but if we disagree on facts, no debate is ever possible".
