I don't think the bill is guaranteed to pass, they'd have to really rush it to get it through before the election.
I'm more concerned about the ID verification law (S-210) that mandates site blocking that's backed by the Conservatives which I'd bet on winning.

If the LPC gets another term in govt I'd say every Canadian who disagrees with the govt on anything is going to have to seriously ask if themselves if it's even worth it to use the internet at all anymore.

I fully expected that online harms bill to be abused to go after all kinds of "extremism".
Pick your issue, but there will always be another coherent to do something insane with it.
