   Learning about some pretty gross governmental acquiescence to corporate faggotry. I probably can't get too close into it without being doxxed, but I'll say that it's really just remarkable how much you can do if you just keep filing paperwork and sending irritating emails. At a certain point, one of the bureaucrats will just shrug and give your company whatever it wants, even if the end result could be fatal in the abstract.

   "Oh well, if these guys are putting out parts that will end up killing someone, then we'll have enough rope to hang them with then, for now we can only really say that we're only like 80% sure it's their fault people died".

   Freakish. Just keep shotgunning paperwork, reports, bitching over and over and you can get the government to yield. (Not law enforcement, they're more high-T, this probably only works in the flabby regulator bodies that oversee niche industries)

     @john_rando I can't stop being pissed about it, they basically say "oh well I mean, there's semen on her buttcrack, and it's dripping, and you DID find me in her bed, but it's not like you can prove it was ME who "raped" her, maybe it was a ghost, if you really took this investigation seriously you'd look for one"

     Then they get to brag about how they were "not guilty" because they're let off on a technicality without even trying to find another culprit. It's irritating, but they get let off because their business depends on this. Hell, I'll probably get in trouble if I try warning people about buying these damn things, the midwits will stress being on good terms with everyone and not making waves, and "well correlation isn't causation so we can't say it's THEIR fault, maybe it just happens"

     Gotta bottle this up so I'm not bitching about it at home

     @WashedOutGundamPilot I've seen this too, with contracting. Contractors will always find a way to finish a project without actually FINISHING it. Oh, the new facility they built is finally done. Too bad the thing can't run for six months without literally destroying itself. They hold endless meetings with the government stakeholders that lead to nothing, until they finally just give up and sign off on it to make the assholes go away. And they still get the next contract.

     This is the reason we can't scale our production of weapons and munitions. Too many greedy corporate and even small scale businesses just want to scam and extract as much as they can, without providing anything good in return. I hate capitalism now.

     "uh we outsourced a bunch of manufacturing to the flips and they screwed it up and didn't prime anything correctly, guess we have to hand out replacements to all the people who paid $90,000 for sheet metal"

     "uh oh we thought the laser cuts would be better than punched holes. Here we'll do a study, none of them are cracking" (they were in fact cracking the whole time in greater proportion than they thought)
