     @coolboymew the hate it gets is absolutely justified. Hobo Phoenix IS cool, but a lot of stuff about the game was just awful. The gameplay gotten a downgrade - it overrelied on the "hey look we can 3d on ds now" which really just meant "rotate thing to find a thing on a thing", i don't think it even had any meaningful interaction to it with maybe one or two exceptions. Game does have nice characters but apollo isn't one of them, his "gimmick" - "chords of steel" is just that he can yell really loud? he can look at EXTREMELY HIGH RES sprites to find the spot where character scratches their ass and it means they're lying? It's like a joke. Much like the whole thing of phoenix getting debadged from some forgery he didn't even make, contrary to game's theme - without trial at all. The whole thing feels like a tech demo, a parody of main series, except it is taking itself absolutely serious, which ends up looking like a mockery.
     
     don't get me wrong - game has nice aspects to it - the characters are (mostly) nice, the artwork is on par with the rest of the series, and I think music is... fine also (i barely remember it), It's just that the whole thing is pain to read and pain to play, it's unfortunate.
