   Arg. I'm cleaning a keyboard but look at this damn blotch! it won't rub off, so I gotta hit it with a melamine sponge, but it's SO CLOSE to the lettering. I gotta be REAL CAREFUL

     not perfect (you can see where I rubbed down the texture) but I got it off. It looks pretty good to the naked eye.

     @jlsksr everything on this board is Wyse-branded, but maybe they bought keycaps from somewhere that provided keycaps to Toshiba? it wouldn't surprise me

     And it's fully reassembled and tested. Feels good!

     The resistance on the "C" is slightly higher than the other letters, probably just because that one keyswitch is, uh... 38 years newer?

     It's got far fewer cycles on it.

     @foone I'm mildly aware that there is Keyboard Nerd Controversy, because Cherry retooled their MX Black line and the modern ones aren't quite like the vintage ones.

     @foone I was getting to where I thought I was the only person on Earth who preferred MX Blacks. Still my favorite keyswitch, although I admit I have not tried most of the enormous range of keyswitches that have come onto the market in the past ten years.

     @GamesMissed I don't prefer them, specifically, it's more that this keyboard already had them when I got it and I'd like to keep them consistent. (and I'm not gonna desolder and replace 83 keys!)
