   People arguing on if Starship Troopers is political is so fucking retarded, IT MAKES ME MAD ON THE INTERNET.
   
   This is what happens when you make media studies a degree. You get a bunch of people who have never encountered real politics in their life trying to convince you that this action-comedy movie is this deep political thing. Read the book and see how the movie is like retardo dumb-dumb version with all the politics extracted for mass consumption. These people think fleeting cultural references are politics.
   
   Anyways, "bugs are good, actually" was never in the point. The TV series (Roughnecks) is actually the true canon, fuck both the movie/book.

     I don't even think Heinlein knew what Heinlein thought about politics. The biggest thing I remember about him being consistent on was that in several books he gets on his soapbox to rant about how incest is actually super cool and not unethical as long as you don't make incest babies.
     Anyways, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is his best book. Starship Troopers was mid as fuck.
