   Linux/devops/web question. Are there open alternatives to cloudflare's "tunnel thingy"?

   Say that I want to host my website https://samuels.bitar.se on a raspberry pi at home but I don't want to expose my home ip, how would I solve this? I know I can do it with Cloudflare but I don't want to use Cloudflare. Can I setup like an nginx proxy on a VPS and do like an ssh tunnel or something? Or are there other solutions?

   I learned abour zrok but I don't know if that will work.

   Ideas?

     @samuel You can use Wireguard running on an inexpensive VPS for this (eg., Hetzner)

     @samuel Hmm, I just had a quick look at how I set it up and it does look like there is a bit of configuration involved. I wish I’d written it up at the time. If I get a moment, I’ll do so but probably not in time to be of help, sorry.

     @aral Great! Thanks! Do you know any good tutorials for this?

     Do I still need nginx (or similar) on the VPS? Or will everything be forwarded to my rpi?

     @samuel OK, I just did a quick search for the main components of my setup (wireguard, unbound, and nftables) and it looks someone else has written a tutorial that should be of help:
