     nearby there's an ITE IT8528E embedded controller. This does things like having a keyboard controller, handles talking to flash and UARTs, interrupts, PWM for fans, DACs and ADCs...

     The CPU is an Intel Celeron J1900, a Bay Trail embedded CPU. 4-core 2 GHz, boost to 2.42 GHz.

     And here's an Atmel/Microchip AT24C64D I²C serial EEPROM, eight kilobytes.

     It's right by the graphics interface, so it's probably something related to that.

     and over here is a Winbond W25Q64FW, 1.8v serial flash memory with dual/quad SPI/QPI. 8 megabytes of flash storage. This is probably used for firmware/bios.

     I count eight LEDs on this motherboard, which is very impressive considering this board is mounted facing the inside of the LCD panel. They're completely impossible to see while this device is functional!

     Anyway, this is from some kind of a PAR EverServ 600.
     Fun fact, despite this model apparently being designed to make it easy to yank the hard drive when it's no longer needed, they didn't.

     And it boots to the POS system. Whoops.

     Fun fact 1: It did require a login. I guessed "1234" would be valid. It was.

     fun fact 2: the tumblr user disir-ex-machina figured out where this is from, by searching the names of the sandwiches you could buy with it: It's from Klein's Deli in San Francisco Airport. I even found pictures on yelp showing this same device being used there

     It's also got a 2x20 character LCD on the back. It's connected over "USB" but doesn't use any USB connectors, since it's integrated
