   And had really good conversations w/those people about the post.

   I haven’t even found everyone I connected with on Twitter over on Mastodon yet.

     @sim @Moon @davidaugust I had a post go viral on Twitter once when my art account was blocked by krita. It was fun for a little while but the notifications quickly got irritating so I blocked the thread.

     @tomey @sim @davidaugust i was in there too under the nft store twitter and i kept getting tagged in replies by just really stupid furries making bad arguments and getting hundreds of retweets, it was really demoralizing.

     @tomey @davidaugust we typically don't get the giant boot numbers as the other side of fedi but dumb shit gets those big boost numbers so i don't put stock in it

     @Moon @tomey @davidaugust This is a good way to look at it. I was amazed to get three figures which only happened once. Sometimes the post gets attention a few months later but not normally. It's interesting to see how these things work. But we do get better content and conversation here at least.

     Eh. It’s temporary. Posts go viral, but people rarely do, due to a lack of timeline manipulation via algorithmic boosting.

     If what you’re looking for from the #Fediverse is fame, you’re in the wrong place. However conversations are better here, it’s easier to get responses, especially if you’re replying to other people’s content.
