LS (lain@lain.com)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 20:13:46 JST LS @cjd crypto is much easier to ease than fiat and tradfi as soon as you have to anything more complicated than “pay a small amount with a credit card”. Embarrassing that the ECB would post something like that, but I guess that’s their job. -

This is pure pandering to people in currency-zone bubbles, i.e. precisely not the ones who need *global* currency.

Râu Cao ⚡ (raucao@kosmos.social)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 22:25:15 JST Râu Cao ⚡ @lain @cjd Just as an example, with bitcoin, I could send 100K USD within 20 minutes from any place on Earth to any other place on Earth for less than 1 USD in fees right this minute. With nobody being able to stop it, and zero counterparty risk.
What a failure that is!

NonPlayableClown (nonplayableclown@postnstuffds.lol)'s status on Thursday, 22-Feb-2024 22:26:11 JST NonPlayableClown It's kinda pathetic when articles state that either bitcoin you can launder money or there's fraud and yet there's no evidence of it at all.
Also suppose you do send money to a criminal, well crypto is an absolute awful way of doing it because anyone can validate the transactions of that coin especially if they have possession.
This all just a dumb attempt for banks and government to control income.LS likes this.
