@Zergling_man reminds me of AoE2 mill-farm tesselation

@Zergling_man @lunarised All I hear in this thread is "blah blah blah I am a nerd look at these numbers and facts boy am I smart!" 🤓 🦾 🏈

@lunarised Of course, I don't know what "per hour" means, is it real-time hours or game-time hours (which are never specified, you can estimate the duration of a day and then make a bold assumption that this alien planet has 24 hours in a day). I'm assuming the former because there are some other "produce X per hour" achievements and I think they all run on real-time. Which means multiple days, so I have to work on ~50% downtime, when solar panels aren't doing anything.
Well, I should probably estimate closer to 2/3 downtime because of all the time they are only partially active.
But in any case, if they're 60kW each, that means 3mW should only take like 50 of them, so 100 would be safe. Each substation has 35 panels, I have... 35 substations. So 1.2k panels. And no achievement.
🤔

@lunarised I'm not sure how that figures. It took about 18m for one 90kW furnace to go through 100MJ. Rounding that up to 20 for simplicity:
100MJ/20m=90kW
100MJ/1hr=30kW
10GJ/1hr=3mW
?

@Zergling_man 10Gj/h is essentially 2.8 kW
So you need 1/20th of a plant to produce 10Gj/h
-
@lunarised Also I don't know how many I need to produce 10GJ/hr.
Each one produces 60kW.
...
Why are they measured differently
-
@lunarised I don't think so. Substations are 2x2, have 18x18 pull. Solar panels are 3x3.
Could theoretically throw the problem at a computer.

@Zergling_man you cant tessellate them more? Get rid of those small gaps?
