アノニマスの見解 Mitra has upgraded to v2.11.0
With luck, the new spam filter should work as intended. Pinging @silverpill for future updates as they warrant, but also with a question: does the filter require any enabling on my part, or is it automatic? I didn't see anything in config or settings, so I'm assuming Everything Just Works(tm)

If you did that, check your logs, there should be records saying "mention removed from post"

This is possible. The "only known users" protection is very weak and can be easily bypassed, I'll add a stronger variant later (accept only from followers / following).

@silverpill Ah, shit... there's where it is. Enabled now. I'll keep you posted if they keep coming in after now.

@silverpill Also worth noting, that drop box doesn't display in mobile, I could only enable it on desktop

@japananon Perhaps a page reload could fix that? This is a pretty standard HTML element, should work everywhere.

So far appears to be working... I need to check logs to see if anything's actually been blocked so far, but I would have expected a few spam posts in this time frame & so far I'm clean

@silverpill Another spam post came in, but it was from an account that had made a mention 10 hours ago so this is expected behaviour:

If accounta repeat spam messages, I suppise they'll eventually get through the current filter. But nothing new so far. Still haven't checked logs, but will tonight.

@silverpill Got to checking the logs. Something like two dozen mentions removed so far. Notifications are pretty much spam free now, I think it works.

@japananon Good. It could remove legit mentions as well (e.g. a direct message from someone you haven't met before), so I recommend switching back to default once the spam wave is over.

@silverpill Yeah, I think this'll be a temporary band-aid solution. Hopefully it won't last much longer.
