I saw Mad Max 2 last night and enjoyed it. One neat thing about the film is how little dialogue the main character had (only 326 words if my source is correct). Yet despite this the makers of the film were still able to depict a heroic journey for the road warrior. There's a lesson there for modern writers who want to harm the audience with whedon quippy dialogue or marvel tier snark: let the story breathe and trust the audience to understand things on their own.
