Why do fags always conflate militarization with fascism?? :Akko_Tired: the world of starship troopers isnt fascistic lol, not even oppressive as they claim. "Non military citizens dont have rights nor can they have kids" BS, they have regular ass rights, they just cant pursue politics as a career, as for having kids its also bs since the main characters parents are non citizens and they had a kid. If the director wasnt a fuck up he wouldve written out the bug attack on buenos aires and made the bugs run from humans rather than attack them, humanize them or something. The film could work as a criticization of the military by reworking some aspects, portraying the bugs as animals minding their business who dont invade and maybe show that the propaganda shows the bugs as evil but theyre not evil irl, and then showing how pointless it is as the veterans return dead and missing a few limbs idk (they had a good idea showing the veterns with missing limbs in the film but it adds nothing imo since the war is justified)
