   Its funny, the only place I'm hearing about this new Harry Potter game is people here on the fediverse encouraging us not to buy it. And I've got a sister/family who are quite into Harry Potter, dragging me into buying Fantastic Beasts tickets!

   I did enjoy those books as a kid, but I enjoyed The Inheritance Cycle more & now I'm tired of the HP nostalgia.

   Also: I try to avoid popculture as a whole, attempting to support authors who don't feel the need to demand I implement DRM. That's hard!

     Wherever I turn (even here on the fediverse) I see people feeling comfortable talking about popculture & expecting you to follow along. When I chime in with the shows *I* love I feel like I'm being side-eyed.

     Like you don't realise you sound like Doug Eiffel to me as much as I do to you, you're just more brazen about it.

     This ends up leading me to favour Red Panda Adventures references since there at least you're familiar with the tropes!

     Also I wish my family would reciprocate more...

     @alcinnz I'm also hearing from people who worked on creating it.

     They aren't saying to go out and play it.

     They are saying to listen to your friendly local trans community.

     I'm saying to also listen to your local Jewish community. (She who wont be named isn't just a bigot to trans people, she's an equal opportunity bigot)
