I don't believe war with China is coming any time soon, nor do I believe the United States could realistically "win" in such a conflict, but people are right for the wrong reasons. While America did not fair well in Korea or Vietnam, in both cases America was trying to prevent the conflict from reaching total war against China, a limitation that would be rendered moot. Ultimately China is too big and too far away for the United States to realistically obtain some kind of strategic victory, not even accounting for the miserable state it is currently in.
