   Apparently there's a new Hogwarts game coming out for multiple gaming platforms. Just a reminder that if you spend money on it, some of that money goes to #JKRowling, who has gone to great lengths to make herself the biggest, worst transphobe in the world.

   Money given to #HogwartsLegacy supports transphobia, plain and simple.

   There is not such a dearth of enjoyable games in the world that you need to spend money on *that one*.

   Fight #transphobia. Don't support it.

     @kagan The main issue isn't even money, it's the cultural relevance. She's already a billionaire, and there's nothing we can do to change that. If everybody waited a year or so to buy the game, even at full price, it would destroy WB's faith in the franchise. That's what I actually want the most, and is what would be most feasible. I want to destroy her credibility in the eyes of the public.

     @kagan I debated deleting the media I had previously purchased. But, that's wasteful. Instead, it now serves as a warning and cautionary tale: evil can dress well. It's insidious like that.

     @kagan "But the people who worked on the game --" have already been paid and are working on their next projects. Almost none of them are getting residuals or royalties. Mail a single dime to a single one of those workers and it's going to do more to support them than buying the game.

     @alice Yeah, I wouldn't slam on someone for still having the stuff they bought before JKR turned to the Dark Side. And honestly, I feel really sad for people who grew up on those books and loved them, and now all of that is so tainted. (For me, I was already adult before they came out, so they were just a fun distraction for me, not A Cherished Childhood Thing.)

     It's good to have reminders that evil doesn't always wear black hats. It can look nice.
