     @nixCraft As a programmer.. How should that make me feel fearful? If ML systems can actually do (most) of the programming that would be great, right? We'd need fewer programmers meaning the excess programmers could be retrained and provide value elsewhere in society. Which is good considering increasing demographic pressure.

     How come when coal miners become redundant we say 'don't whine, get retrained', but when programmers or professional artists do it's a tragedy?

     @nixCraft those of us in the line of duty in niche markets will be here to catch the fixes and bullshit tangles that will likely ensue with this "throw lots of wet TP at the wall and hope it sticks" method of "management" in programming. We have intention, context, and a human connection to end users the AI does not seem* capable of executing accurately enough. Yet. Shit. Don't tell AI how to do those things please. Wondering, what IS a way to ensure and fight for human stamped code? Unionizing?
