controversial take:
Inheritance is for the grandchildren. If your children haven't produced any grandchildren they'll just waste the inheritance as they get old. They ended your line. Might as well spend the money on yourself.
- luithe repeated this.

@BroDrillard @YeetLibs many boomers have done everything in their power to prevent ever having grandkids
>oh you're dating in high school? you better leave her and buckle down on your studies! if you don't get straight A's we're kicking you out and you'll work at mcdonalds for the rest of your life
>you got a boyfriend in college and want us to meet him? it's getting serious? you're so young, you should have some fun while you're still in your 20s!
>you're going to propose to your girlfriend? at 25? son, you need to be really putting your nose to the grindstone, put in those 80, 90, 100 hour weeks at work to show the boss your dedication and you'll get promoted in no time!
>look honey, i know you just got married and are excited to be a mother, but 29 is just too young! you'll be missing out on so much! all your friends will be out partying while you're stuck at home with a fussy baby! you should travel and see the world, there's plenty of time!
>son, you shouldn't be trying for kids with your wife right now. you're only 35, and the two of you can only afford an apartment, and that's no place to raise a family! wait until you get that promotion to manager at work and can buy a nice house in the suburb with the good school district
>you should take that promotion and move across the country for work, you can worry about kids later! my friend Martha had her son at 46, you're plenty young!

@skylar @BroDrillard @YeetLibs Don't forget the more subtle one where they badger their kids about every other fucking potential love proposition until it gets weird and they ruin it.
