     @narada My company engages in regenerative agriculture. The places where I have run livestock stay dark green all winter. I plant trees, have an apiary, and I don't mow my lawn. Something in me flies off the fucking handle at others for poor land mismanagement. It's literally less in and more out. IMAGINE SPENDING UPWARDS OF TEN TO TWENTY HOURS A WEEK MOWING YOUR FUCING LAWN, CAUSING ALL THAT NOISE, SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY, KILLING EVERYTHING THAT CAN'T OUT COMPETE FESCUE BECAUSE THE SOIL IS SO NUTRIENT STARVED NOTHING CAN GROW? OH, WHAT'S THAT? A DANELIO- WEED?!

     @Eiswald @narada I remember I once visited a sustainable farm for a project. They did crop rotation and planted different types of crops at the same time: one row of sugar cane with some beans around them to retain nitrogen and avoid using fertilizer. The farm also had some areas dedicated to being basically small forests with super tall trees, which provided a habitat for species (I think mainly bats and birds) which predated on insects that consumed crops so that way they avoided using pesticides. They also rotated crops and pastures for cattle so they didn't deplete the soil, and other fancy things. It was really interesting and I hope to see more of it.

     @Eiswald I always point out to people how few insects and spiders there are. Their numbers have absolutely collapsed in my lifetime. Disturbing portent of the future.

     @narada Got a knee jerk murderous rage towards people who treat their land like pic related. Boomers, kikes, and industrialization have been the most massive contributing factors in that order. Not even industry has done the kind of damage that the vainglorious pursuits of boomers have done in their quest to poorly emulate wasps and nobles but it's catching up what with 'green energy' which is LITERALLY CAUSING DEATH AND EXTINCTION EVENTS, 'SEQESTERING' CARBON, AND TEARING CITY SIZED HOLES IN THE WORLD.
     
     These people need to die. All of them. Their ideas, their associates, everything. Burn it all.
