Many folks used ESXi to learn about virtualization in the home lab and later used or promoted advanced products at work. This could be now useful for #Linux KVM and other products such as Proxmox.

The responses largely seem to be along the lines of they want to kill off a competitor (but they bought it, so it's now killing themselves, not a competitor!) or are just that stupid as a company. I really don't get it because to me it really feels like they are working with purpose. Assuming it's not another malignant narcissist operating on personal whims behind the wheel, why though?
