   Many folks used ESXi to learn about virtualization in the home lab and later used or promoted advanced products at work. This could be now useful for #Linux KVM and other products such as Proxmox.

     @nixCraft FWIW, I haven't personally depended on VMWare in 20 years. Free ESXi going away means nothing to me.

     @nixCraft wishing redhat hadn't killed RHEV not that long ago. Would have made a good replacement for esxi
