>P3P shows the melting face while Reload doesn't
sasuga corner cutting :ina_nod:
- Cayhr likes this.

Do you think the devs lost the source code for FES? :kekw:
-
@weissrespecter He wasn't crying but taking away the smile by itself arguably fucks up a lot
-
@Kyonko802 Aragaki's death isn't even an anime cutscene anymore, just prerendered in engine. The direction is completely changed too, where instead of stoically smiling like a badass and standing up to die with his back to the group (which was thematically and characteristically appropriate) he dies like a bitch holding Akihiko's hand and crying. The tone of that scene and the whole game in general is so butchered by desperately aping P5 :dead_inside:

@Spooke corner cutting, he still obviously melts they just didn't put it on the model or make it a cutscene cuz lazy
-
@Kyonko802 is it corner cutting or is it because melting is somehow offensive to the LGHDTV+ community and esg. If it is offensive. They find a way to make everything an I'm offended monent.

@Kyonko802 Akihiko was crying I don't know why I fucked the wording up so badly on that
-
@weissrespecter Yeah, Akihiko crying is only supposed to happen at the funeral display, like it hits him later.

@Kyonko802 There's a good chance it's not even just a source code issue, it could be the fact that the game engine used for the PS2 games was goddamn RenderWare. The creators of it got bought by EA, who seemingly discontinued the entire thing before the 2010s. RenderWare also fucked up many other game releases, like how all versions of the "GTA Trilogy" after the initial Xbox/PS2 releases are based on the shitty mobile ports since those were a different engine.
The engine being a complete loss for anyone who used it is on top of Atlus likely not having any of their source code for anything made before 2010 saved (none of this justifies the state of their P3P rerelease or P3R's release).
