   @deavmi it's literally socialism to support an inefficient business model. Farm subsidies are a parasite on our economy but if you fight them you'll have hypocrite Republicans with pitchforks at your door
   
   It also artificially suppresses prices of a lot of farm products which fuels the fast food chains too. The entire industry would collapse if we didn't have these subsidies. Whatever would we do if groceries were more affordable than fast food? How could we ever live with ourselves if we didn't force people down the path of diabetes, obesity, and heart disease
