ZLUDA lets you run unmodified CUDA applications with near-native performance on AMD GPUs. This project is funded by @AMD and 100% opensource. @nixCraft It's sad such a thing is even necessary. AMD is providing *actually* open alternatives that even nVidia could be using (literally anyone can use it) but instead so much stuff is still tied to CUDA.
As someone already pointed out though, it looks like this is officially abandoned and probably won't really improve very much from here. Well, fingers crossed they change their minds.
