minute (mntmn@mastodon.social)'s status on Tuesday, 13-Feb-2024 02:03:53 JST minute @josch the key is to use hot air only as short as possible for the final boost, and use a hotplane (such as from miniwares) to do the bulk of the heating first

josch (josch@floss.social)'s status on Tuesday, 13-Feb-2024 02:03:55 JST josch @mntmn So the usb-c was not soldered on correctly? How did you prevent the hot air from damaging the surrounding plastic parts? I always have trouble getting components off without causing more damage than what I'm trying to fix. 🙃
