It's so over
-
@Fullmetal2255 As much as people that were involved in the GG shitfest went on and on about the problems with localization and Californian bugmen, one thing that was glossed over was the cottage industry of "professional Westerners" hanging out in Tokyo and telling Japanese developers how to censor their games for neo-Puritan tastes. Like with fansubs, etc. the idiots, instead of trying to figure out how to counter their influence, just started playing internet Nazi.

@mrsaturday @Fullmetal2255 The harsh reality is that American cultural imperialism is such that this is always inevitable, given enough time, so long as the big US cultural mouthpieces are in charge. National and even language barriers might slow things down a bit, but the poz inevitably seeps into every corner of the globe.

North Korea has a ton of its own problems. Really where the US wins in terms of the propaganda war is its ability to win with carrots rather than sticks. Mindless capeshit with a little DEI sprinkled into the background is how it gets a foothold. It's easy to win people over by appealing to vice and weakness, which everyone has, as opposed to virtue, which is far more difficult to attain. Humanity was never meant to have the magic screen, it blurs the line between reality and fiction too much. The Amish have been vindicated once again.

@ArdainianRight @Fullmetal2255 @mrsaturday It's so bad that really only places like Best Korea are capable of keeping the cultural filth out. Like the Soviet Union funding and supporting anti-colonial revolutions everywhere the US pushes its totalitarian kiked culture into every nook and cranny.

The truth is this crap repeatedly pops up whenever humans become too comfortable and decadent. What's unusual now is how thoroughly and swiftly the vice spreads and penetrates. Rome managed to stay afloat for a long time because it had a steady supply of actually useful men on the fringes of the empire, battle-hardened from fighting the barbarians, who clung to the old virtues, and could come in and fix things when Rome got too gay and retarded. Now we've got troonshit penetrating the whole of America, this shit can pop out of Kentucky and Montana as much as California, and it's worming its way into satellite states too. There are no hardened men to rise up, pull a palace coup, and keep the empire going, just fat Boomers like Trump. The collapse is already underway, and there's no telling how far things can fall.

@ArdainianRight @Fullmetal2255 @mrsaturday Imo the cold-war kept the worst of this back for the several decades it went on for. And when the USSR finally crumbled the impulse to keep things sane to fight them off rather quickly died.

But those aren't hardened men, they're as soft and squishy and decadent slaves to their passions as much as the rest of us. The algorithm has plenty of sway even over those who sway the algorithm, AI taking over is already underway, even if the AI itself isn't sentient, and is just churning out feedback loops upon feedback loops. Humanity faces and fears no external threats, and so will only get fatter, and gayer and dumber until the system implodes on itself, by which time most of humanity will be incapable of survival without said system, and the few pockets of people who have actually been raised outside of the matrix, who know how to engage with reality instead of just screens, will be the few survivors who will live and rebuild.

@ArdainianRight @wgiwf @Fullmetal2255 The difference is our knowledge of psychology and technological advancements when it comes to mass surveillance and how to tickle everyone's lizard brains with the right set of bread and circuses. The hard motherfuckers holding it together aren't on the frontiers fighting off unwashed Germanics, they're designing new ways to entrance and nudge normies.

@ArdainianRight
My biggest fear is that it’ll collapse slower than it seems to be already
@wgiwf @Fullmetal2255 @mrsaturday

@leyonhjelm @wgiwf @Fullmetal2255 @mrsaturday
What's really scary is not so much the length of the collapse but the potential depth of the collapse. Imagine a total technological collapse in 2060-2070, when nobody but a handful of geezers can even fathom a life where you aren't always online. Humanity by then may well be too sick and fat to even loot effectively, nevermind hunt or farm. And forget about culture or literacy.
-
@leyonhjelm @wgiwf @Fullmetal2255 @mrsaturday I'm thinking specifically about 600 lb diabetics and AIDS-riddled porn addicts who instantly keel over in any meaningful disruption of supply lines.

Most of what we own is toxic garbage, that’s why only the dumbest joggers join the riots these days

It’s not immoral for them to all die if you don’t have the means to save them
