@arstechnica I mean.. This seems disingenuous. Creating Firearm based on OS components/designs is perfectly possible. Yet it wouldn't keep us (at least you know, sane people outside of NA) from banning them.
You can make it illegal for people to have stuff on them, it's no magic bullet but it helps fighting certain types of crime.

@arstechnica car companies need to make cars more secure. The hacks that these devices execute are relatively trivial, and could be prevented with proper funding of security.
