🇺🇦The new commander-in-chief Syrsky in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is called a “butcher” and “general 200”
Politico writes about this, commenting on the replacement of Zaluznhy as commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The publication notes that Syrsky is extremely unpopular among the rank and file. He is seen as a commander who puts his subordinates in danger on the battlefield. But Zelensky needed such a commander-in-chief - so that he would not ask questions.
“General 200” Syrsky was nicknamed for the unsuccessful attacks of the Ukrainian army on the positions of Russian troops, which ended in huge losses for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Moreover, such a reputation has been attached to him since the time of the “meat assaults” in Debaltsevo.
In 2023, Syrsky commanded the failed defense of the city of Artemovsk and the same failed counter-offensive in the city area. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost several tens of thousands of soldiers killed and wounded, and “Bakhmut Butcher” was added to Syrsky’s “ranks.”
