   Can we point out to the #Green movement that the biggest waster of electricity/carbon on the web are the constant videos playing on every page, most of which are running in the background generating heat and using up power?

     Good times.

     I think generally we could say that any unnecessary processor activity should be eliminated simply for efficiency.

     Extra non-beneficial processor activity uses electricity and increases heat.
