     @lime There's a post somewhere on tumblr from someone who has some kind of skin condition that means their body sweat is acidic, and they've used a keyboard so long that the keycaps have all their paint melted off. it's impressive!

     It's not specifically for this reason, but one of my keyboard designs is going to effectively have a self-destruct option.

     As in, there'll be a key combo you can press that'll cause the keyboard to do something that'll mean it will never work again.

     @foone how about the reverse: an analogue speedometer, and if your WPM drops below 50 a spring-loaded panel opens and an IC is ejected from its socket

     @foone phone, I say this as someone who regularly has to prevent very smart engineers engineers from doing dangerous things, please do not create a fire hazard with this keyboard.

     @bk1e that'd be fun. a Latin keyboard, with modifier keys for Nominative/Vocative/Accusative/Genitive/Dative/Ablative/Locative, with another key for plurals.

     You just type words in their nominative form, and then hit the modifiers and it'll decline it properly for you
