     @inertia 0 use????? wdymm, making a window manager is such a productive and BASED thing. My main objectives would be, learning the X11 API, some features from gnome which i haven't seen in any wm's and WIDGETS for my (calendar and notes + maybe more) apps. i want to have them very integrated into the WM

     @koon I don't understand why anyone would want to make a window manager though. Sure maybe it's kinda cool, but it's also silly to invest so much time and brain power into something with literally zero use.
     Am I the crazy one here?

     - finish that one ide ive started a year ago (rust+tauri)
     (i think i started 4-5 IDEs never to finish any)
     - learn how sdl works
     - look more into C++
     - make a programming language (C + classes)
     - the one game i started about caves
     - the one game im thinking about 3d pixelart
     - finish the godot extensions for cave game and elf forest game
     - better alternative to godot noises in c++?
     - an arch based os with my wm and tools (for easy install, suited for my own needs)

     - understand how openbsd works
     - go deep into godot source
     - finish the many Minecraft utility (hacks) i started (or start a new one..)
     - make a cool papermc plugin (looked into it a bit a few days ago and its really fun)

     this came to mind for now

     @inertia i have an always growing list of what i wanna make:
     (the order might be a bit wrong)
     - a window manager (x11)
     - learn opengl
     - learn vulkan
     - learn rust
     - do more random stuff in zig
     - look into wgpu
     - make a voxel engine (vulkan hopefully)
     - look into os dev
     - make a hopefully bootable os for rpi
     - look into go lang
     - make a decentralized messaging/board-like platform (in go)
     - make my own calendar + notes app hopefully embedded into the window manager (rust+tauri?)

     @inertia no, but they do end with a severe need for programming in c instead of py (for uni)... i wannnaaa make my own window manager sooo bad (instead of studying)

     @koon if you aren't Terry and are literally following Gods will, I wouldn't bother.

     But tbh all that low-level os stuff is not something that ever interested me. I only really like gamedev. Os is for autists (the good kind). Webdev is for boring people.
