@rlier23 The time mechanic is not really annoying and is balanced well. It wouldn't be a good game without it. There is even a song that let's you slow down time so can get things down in a particular area without worrying about missing a deadline on the same time cycle.
@rlier23 I consider it the single best implementation of a time limit in video games ever, because:
1) You can't ever permanently lose out on progress or screw yourself over. 2) There are lots of good way to manipulate time. 3) You're free to either play it safe (in which case you probably won't ever be truly stressed out) or really push your time management skills, depending on what kind of experience you want. 4) Even if you DO fail to say, complete a temple in time, you will probably be way better positioned to succeed the second time, have access to or knowledge about various shortcuts etc, kinda how you gradually become stronger in a rogue-lite despite dying. 5) There are just so many great ideas, character- and story-elements that are enabled by the 3-day cycle.
