     @Goalkeeper I enjoyed it. although the QoL features in the new ports definitely ironed out the annoyances it had. I used 4x speed a lot for instance.
     
     still second favorite FF by far.

     @Goalkeeper well I've been playing the series in chronological order so i don't have many points of comparison.
     I still think 6 is a lot better. Kefka is simply the superior villain and the story telling in the second part is powerful

     I don't really like the characters in 7 so I tend to rate it lower.

     I mean I cared more about what happened to the characters in 4 than I ever did in 7.

     @Goalkeeper the cast of 4 hasn't really clicked with me personally. I thought the story was pretty generic. though I will give it credit for being punishingly difficult. probably the most memorable fights in the series by far. (I played 3D version on PC) final dungeon and boss alone had me at the edge of my seat the whole time.

     @Goalkeeper fair enough. I haven't played any FF games as a kid (unless you want to count dirge of cerberus, although I didn't know wtf a final fantasy was at the time). I have been going through them recently and seeing how the series evolved over time. it's been fun learning about the history of the franchise every step of the way.

     My Bias for 4 is the same as a lot of people's for 7: it was the first one I ever played as a kid. I have beaten every version.

     If 8 is next up for you i will give you a tip: Do not grind, the game will punish you because the enemies scale to your level. 8 is a very weird game gameplay wise and it turns a lot of people off.

     @Meemoo When you play FF9 just remember that the translation is awful and characters are completely different to how they're supposed to be.
