   @monaeltahawy We spent 20 years and trillions of dollars in Afghanistan doing the wrong things. We should have been training every woman in the nation how to kill, how to use a gun, and supplying them. We should have put them in power, had them be the police and military. Now the only alternative is to help them LEAVE.

     When the Taliban took over in Afghanistan last year, they banned women from sports. These pictures for AP by Ebrahim Noroozi of athletes who miss competing in their sport are heart wrenchingly incredible.
