     One of my main contentions with global temperature records is that it's obvious that our methods, locations, and quantity of measurements have changed over the years and I doubt that is accurately portrayed when presenting the data.

     This was an issue in 2007, maybe. There's more sources of data that don't have this problem, today. You are hopelessly outdated in terms of what's going on in climate science if you still think we're having these 2007-level problems.
     
     Ice core data also doesn't come from population centres.

I do know there is a lot of money involved, and most of the people holding on to that money do not behave in a way that is consistent with their supposed beliefs even a little bit. I also know that ice cores tell you about what gasses were in the air not what temperature the surface of the earth was at the time. I also know that scientific publishing is a racket and there are all kinds of "crisis" in the scientific community that should give EVERYONE outside of that community a little pause when they say anything at all.
