The thing is that seinen in general are less goofy, more violent and generally have a more solid art style and are a tad more serious in their presentation
I've seen recent seinen that seemed like they sucked ass and such
Otherwise this one give me big 2000s seinen vibes, but that's how they tend to be -

Lots of good seinens. Some are just shounen that get to push the age barrier (and usually have slightly better writing for it)

However a lot of these demographics aren't COMPLETELY indicative of the type of content (i.e comedy, violence, tone etc) and are just a label based on publisher.
That's why Tonari no seki-kun is a seinen, Black Butler is a shounen, and Cowboy Bebop is a shoujo
