why the heck do some #p2p protocols get hung up on discoverability with a single method, isn't that what ended up happening with #BitTorrent anyway? trackers, but also DHT, PEX, multitracker announces, hole punching, etc.

esp. with identified peers/signed data, I want to be able to be able to do global peer exchange, but then also be able to have specified shibboleth friend peers who can point to and sign for me, point with a rel="me" from a URL at me and my servers and my friends servers...
