     @dushman @eric by far my biggest concern is that my fucking CPU is running an entire god damn operating system at ring -1, followed in close second by all the opaque blobs that are required
     
     there's also the general sense of unease that's caused by society increasingly relying on artifacts for which the design and fabrication has become so incredibly difficult that an economy the size of china still hasn't managed to catch up to the cutting edge. coupled with the incessant push to remove device control from the end user it paints an incredibly concerning picture for the future

     @dushman @eric don't get me wrong I detest firmware blobs, generally dislike UEFI, and like coreboot, I've just never felt like "damn I really wish my kernel was an ELF instead of an EFISTUB"
