   Personally I think farmers generally speaking could farm in more sustainable ways, but the government incentivized practices that increase yields in the short term for a long time which led to less productive land needing more inputs to maintain the charade. Trying to regulate the very practices they pushed for seems a bit fucked imo. It would be better if they just stayed out of it in the first place.

     @BowsacNoodle yup... They made it nearly impossible for anyone to compete without petroleum based fertilizer, massive ground crushing equipment, and laboratory seed.
