Heads up: Red Hat Enterprise #Linux on AWS Pricing is going up. RHEL instances will now cost more on AWS, GCP, Azure etc. https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/red-hat-enterprise-linux-scalable-pricing-cloud-partners-announcement You may consider another Linux distribution, such as Debian or even FreeBSD, to save money and simplify licensing requirements.

If you don't need RHEL, then you should *already* not be using RHEL. It's in the name, it's an Enterprise tool, not a hobbyist (well, you can use the 20 free licenses for that).
This post is weird, with how the announcement clearly aimed at Enterprise user, while this post thought it's relevant to hobbyist or that Enterprise should consider hobbyist viewpoints.

"...New RHEL pricing [...] will be lower than the current pricing for small VM/instance sizes; at parity for some small and medium VM/instance sizes; and potentially higher than the current pricing for large and very large VM/instance sizes."
