People asking if the Switch 2 will be backwards compatible, as if the answer isn't already "No."
The entire library of a console could be digital only and it would still not be backwards compatible, selling "remakes" or "remastered" or whatever the fuck they're calling it these days is clearly very profitable, and that was the result of business decisions made years ago to not implement backwards compatibility.
And gamers will do it. Gamers will buy the same game twice just so they can have it on the latest system.

@TopBep i can already see the inevitable giga cope how actually this is a good thing because nintendo deserves getting payed for the exact same product multiple times and actually backwards compatibility is almost like stealing :zt_laugh:
meanwhile you will be able to play new and old games on the steam deck 1,2,3,4,5.... until the hardware literally breaks down while also running every walled garden console game you can emulate with better performance than native

@DarkMahesvara @TopBep it's actually sad Chinese bootleg items are somehow better than the official products in the figure/Gundam scene
And it transfers over to the gaming scene where gaben will provide a better product and experience to play games than an actual console hardware sold by gaming companies

@luithe @DarkMahesvara would be great if console folks realized what a raw deal they were getting every generation. Unfortunately despite how the steam deck very obviously hits on this point, console folk too busy glazing their chosen company.
